  3. This patch fixes a nasty bug in Mac OS 8.5 and 8.5.1 first discovered by Steve Jasik.

  5. The manifestation of the bug is random tromping of memory, and sometimes it corrupts the heap (this happens when an application is launched). The problem is that some programmer did a Load Contents when he meant to do a Load Address.

  7. This patch replaces the data $83A0 in the nlib resource ID=11 at offset $1968 with $3BA0, this inserting the correct command.

  9. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS RUN THIS PATCHER ON A COPY OF YOUR SYSTEM FILE, NEVER ON THE ORIGINAL OR ON AN ACTIVE SYSTEM FILE!
